This book is a stunning sci-fi novel!

It's been awhile since this reviewer not only was introduced to a novel containing different forms of planetary beings with unique cultures and personalities but also got to read a plot that made readers think and feel as if such a story could make a difference in the real world the reader inhabits.

Star Brigade... is a novel about a heroic character working in the future to prevent the mass destruction of all life. Belonging to an elite unit protecting the entire galactic union, Habraum Nwosu is restored to work after a disaster that almost emotionally destroys him - highlighted by the death of his wife. Trying desperately to teach his son a way of existence that includes a peaceful way of thinking, feeling, and acting - in short, nonviolence - Habraum must return to his warrior status and at the same time maintain his new-found sense of integrity pivotal in the world's survival.

There's plenty of provocative action, ideas, and people of all mental and emotional persuasions to keep the reader happily riveted to this action-packed novel! The governing body of the galaxy, the Galactic Union of Planetary Republics, in this novel certainly parallels everything that is negative about government in the real world, yet the author manages to strongly imply that there is always an opportunity for hope to prevail, even in the face of the worst possible scenario. The enemy, the Korvenites, will remind the reader of several of the so-called "enemies" presently involved in warfare.

There's a definite message here within this fascinating, light yet powerful sci-fi story that will keep you up many a late evening and is enjoyable as well!

Great work, C. C. Ekeke!!! More, please!!!
