THE SCAM

NOVEL BY JAMES BYRON HUGGINS

STORY BY JAY B. MANN

January 2006

ISBN # 0883688174

Contemporary Fiction/Thriller/Mystery

Publisher: Whitaker House

The premise is simple but oh so complex. What if one man were able to financially manipulate the wealth of the world? And what if that person had every powerhouse in the country, indeed even in the world, so involved in the conspiracy that immunity from capture and prosecution was virtually guaranteed?

But criminals almost always must move beyond the material substance of money and wind up harming, even brutally killing, innocent and not-so-innocent men and women. So why go after such a person or persons involved who help the elusive criminal?

At a certain point, the "scam" develops to pose the threat of global war. It also turns out there is a WWII link that threatens the very existence of an entire nation. And last, but certainly not least, there is a personal score to serve, a fierce fury, a rage born of hurt after seeing one's loved ones die. All of this lies within several individuals working as a team to apprehend - no, to destroy this mastermind of crime and his inhuman, rivaling servants/bodyguards.

The tension is taught, riveting, and the pace is dizzying! This reviewer hasn't read a thriller/crime novel this great for quite a long, long time!

Huggins is the real thing! Buy this book for a great summer read! Buy it for your family and friends as well!
