THE ELECT LADY: LIFE'S OBSTACLES BECOME GOD'S OPPORTUNITIES

EDDIE LONG

Whitaker House Publishers

January 2008
Inspirational Nonfiction

ISBN: 9780883682814

In every person's life are moments of wondering, "What if my life had been different? What if?" Whether it's a passing fancy or an underlying root of dissatisfaction pervading one's life in small or large ways, Eddie Long has a credible, revealing message for you!

The author begins with the life of the mother of Jesus, Mary, a woman whose motherhood began in the most surprising, troublesome manner that certainly must have evoked comments from all of her contemporaries. Family, friend and foe probably all had spoken and unspoken thoughts that affected Mary, Jesus, and his siblings, as well as the one who agreed to pose as the human father of this sacred person.

Long then goes on to describe a pivotal moment in the life of his own mother, a woman who decided to stay in a most difficult situation so that her son could become the significant minister to millions in the far-off future she could not see.

Other examples abound in this short, potent book that focuses on accepting and embracing one's destiny, even when it may not look so right in the moment or even in hindsight. But Long's words are not simple or just blind faith!

Instead, Eddie Long offers the reader a perspective to embrace the sacred quality of every part of one's life journey and to reject that which breeds hate, bitterness or apathy. His own wife writes about how her life changed when marrying this visionary man and how she has come to live in the divine moment of her part in her "destined" plan.

Studying the Word and teaching the divine identity that enables one to become an "elect lady" permeates every page of this thoughtful, real and inspiring study of living in significant grace in every moment!

Very potent and faith-provoking, Eddie Long!
